I’m not sure why they didn’t call it the Starbucks “Black” card b/c it looks more black than gold.   Benefits:  10% off most things and other stuff.    There’s a $25/year fee but if you drink $250 worth of coffee a year then you’re covered.    My annual fee is waived.  So, if you’re in Starbucks, you’re probably standing in front of or behind me

Hello West Loop residents and visitors.   A bird told me that there is ‘talk’ to make Randolph street a pedestrian-only promenade?

What do you think?  Will it help or hurt property values?   Will it make the once warehouse district into more of an actual neighborhood?

And will restaurant business suffer of flourish?   No taxis and auto traffic would drop off hungry patrons BUT may draw new traffic to a quieter, cleaner respite from city dining.  (there’s something unromantic about dining smelling and hearing  cars drive mere feet from my food)

Thank you goWestLoop.com viewers and RSS subscribers for your input regarding the Pure Condo development rumors.  Although we do not say if they are true (since we do not know) our duty is to post other residents’ concerns as well provide insight to the various blogs/news articles regarding our community.

A long (unconfirmed) story is that Sunrise Equities, the condo developer of Pure in the West Loop at 24 S. Morgan, is bankrupt and its CEO is missing.   In addition, the Sunrise Equities office is now empty and phone calls are unanswered.

Is it me or does that intersection absolutely smell?!  I can’t stand it.  Maybe it’s the 100 sewer manhole covers in that intersection?  Is the WL the sewer center of Chicago?
